Federal agencies need to stay current to attract new diverse audiences and to make a paradigm shift from traditional forms of marketing their national parks. My job was to help further expand their branding identity and to help build opportunities to reach new audiences around the world.
Typography plays an important part of representing the brand or different companies or organizations. I have created several products over the years for the National Park Service. The challenges with designing for the park service are all of the restrictions in due to accessibility, color, type and balance as we as my own ability to adapt to those restrictions when designing.
I helped that National Park Service by taking their designs ideas and branding to new levels of marketing. The projects included print/digital publications, signage, way-finding signs, exhibits, marketing materials, public service announcements, and websites.
I helped craft new innovative designs while following their strict branding guidelines. As a government agency with traditional values I was constantly looking for new ways to reinvent the brand.
